For signed-in users, SciBuddy stores account data (email, subscription status) via Supabase, and records your child's learning activity on our servers to power the AI companion feature: pages visited, lesson time, and practice question attempts (which questions were answered and whether the answer was correct). This data is tied to your child's profile and is never sold or shared with third parties.

To help your child learn more effectively, our AI analyses your child's practice history daily and weekly to identify strengths and areas for improvement. This analysis is done using Anthropic's Claude API. Practice attempt data is retained for 90 days; AI-generated insights and your child's learning profile are retained for as long as your account is active.
